Couch Surfing, Anyone?
As you know we’ve recently launched our mother site www.nunomad.com, www.laptophobo.com and the related www.quitdreamingandgo.com where we sell our travel preparation ebook. Well, one of our first Nuno friends came from Hungary and sent us this great tip on finding places to stay around the world. Check out www.couchsurfing.com . This is a totally free site where you can enter your profile and countries/cities you would like to visit. Other folks enter what they’re offering in terms of places to stay. It’s a cool concept for those of you who travel light, solo, or with one other person. Is it safe? It’s hard to say, but they do address the issue on their site and seem to have a way to prove your good reputation through referrals and links. Some of the digs are a lot better than just a couch – you might even find your own apartment accomodation!
