European Wifi Hotspots for Blue Suit Nomads

As part of my trip planning I’m starting to collect information on Wifi hotspots in the places I’ll be visiting.  I decided to start with Paris.  Luckily, I found a great blog that has already collected info on Paris Wifi hotspots.  As part of my research I learned that Paris tried out free Wifi in it’s subway system in 2003 but it was not well used so now you have to pay supposedly.  I realize this was fairly dated information that I was getting.  If anyone knows of something more up to date – please let me know!

Here’s the link to the blog with the Paris Wifi Info!  http://blogs.chron.com/auparis/archives/2005/06/thanks_to_the_p.html

Another cool link actually has interactive maps and photos of internet cafes:

For those of you wanting Wifi hotels, here’s another link:

I went on to look for Amsterdam.  Looks like the entire city of Amsterdam is going Wifi through a company called HotSpot.  It’s a for fee service, though, and I"m pretty cheap.  So I found another site that lists free Wifi hotspots throughout Europe!  Check this one out –
