Top 10 Worst World Music Videos of All Time!
Warning: This post is guaranteed to suck your time into a black hole – but it’ll be a fun ride.
Music and dance are part of a universal language that brings us together as human beings across the globe.
From some recent surfing of world music videos on YouTube, it looks like really bad music videos are also a universal language across the globe.
Just for fun, I wanted to share with you my list of Top 10 Worst World Music Videos of all time. I guarantee they will bring a smile to your face if not an outright scraping of your chin on the floor in disbelief when you see them!
1. First off we have La Tigresa from Peru along with El Delfin and Wendy Sulca singing about the beauty of Israel.
2. Next, The Rabbit Conquistadors also from Peru. Enjoy!
3. Crossing the globe to India we are entertained by some pretty fierce dance moves. Sorry, I don’t know the name of the group or song on this one. The English is not a translation, by the way.
4. From Sweden. I don’t even know where to start commenting about this one. It has to win the prize for worst choreography of all time, not to mention worst lyric rhyming. “You want to love me tender. How can I be sure you’re not pretender”.
5. This guy is supposedly making fun of the Balkan mafia. I’m just speechless.
6. This video from Turkey will strike fear into any parent of a teenage girl.
7. And now, from Vietnam. This kid has some moves a la Michael Jackson. The voice doesn’t quite stack up – but hey – he’s got the girls. By the way, he’s singing in English.
8. Now, lest we not think that it’s always the guys going after the girls in music videos, here we have Las Seductoras Muchachitas del Amor, again from Peru.
9. Flor de Romero wins the prize for how to create an entire music video using only two dance moves and someone else’s music. If you are not completely energized by the performance, surely the final text appearance will get you out of your seat. Translation: “Full video coming soon, this was just a test”
10. And no, we are not immune to having produced our own music video gems in the U.S.. Here’s a little time travel for you to the days of the Captain and Tenille. If you’ve never seen this video, you won’t believe it really happened! This song was actually popular on the radio in those years. Having been about 10 at the time, I can sing along! Be sure to see the muskrats dancing.
BONUS If you still want more – even the greats had their low moments. For a bonus, from the UK, I present to you the Rolling Stones. Hint: skip to about 75% of the way through the video to see Mick’s look of panic. Sorry, youtube doesn’t allow embeds with this one so you’ll have to click over.
