Putting Boredom to the Sword the NuNomad Way

Travelling is part and parcel of the nomad way of life, and there’s just no getting away from that. If you want to live a destination-free life, then it stands to reason that you’re going to be moving about a lot more than the normal everyday people you know back home.

It’s a great life, and one that perhaps you never thought you yourself would be able to pull off, but you are, so well done! There is however one downside, the travelling between places does get boring. It’s not ungrateful to acknowledge it, you’re just being a realist. So what can you do about it?

Get Yourself An iPad

Who says that you can’t binge watch on the road? If you have an iPad, some free storage space, and a Netflix account then you can watch whatever you like. The great thing about Netflix (and Amazon Prime to be fair) is that you can now download your shows. Ideal if you want to rewatch Breaking Bad at 30,000 feet, or see why all your friends have been waxing lyrical about Game of Thrones for years now.

Take a Spin When the Mood Takes You

When you want to inject a little bit of excitement into proceedings, there’s perhaps no better way to do it than by taking a spin, placing a bet, or having flutter…whatever you want to call it.

Take a look at all the various codes for ceasars casino and you’ll see there are all sorts of ways that you can pass an idle half hour. Perfect for earning enough for a great day out with the click of a button; if you strike it lucky that is!

Take Your Watch Off

The watched pot never boils, and if you stare at your watch you will bore yourself senseless. There’s simply no better way to feel thoroughly fed up with even the shortest of waits than by incessantly checking your watch. Take it off, stick it in your hand luggage and set an alarm on your phone so that you don’t miss your flight.

Here’s some great travel tips from Bo Ismono.

Noise Cancelling Headphones are a Must

The drone of the airplane engines, the hum of the airport, and the endless sounds of people moaning and complaining as you wait in line. These are the sounds that you will sadly become accustomed to as you make your way from A to B.

You might be a nomad, but you still have to fly like everyone else. Granted, you can sleep easy knowing you can rest your way through your jet lag once you arrive, but getting there will be just as tiring. Noise cancelling headphones not only give your ears a well earned rest, they also allow you to enjoy your music and Netflix session just like you would if you were at home. Ideal really!

Get That MacBook Charged and Ready

If you just can’t relax when you’re in transit, why not get some work done? That way you’ll be even more free to do what ever you feel like when you get to the other side.

Freedom is a nomad’s best friend after all!
